Fall
and Winter are fast approaching and with it comes the newest
collection in fabulous sweater wear. Whether it be a long sleeve
cardigan, pullover, vest, or sweater dress; Sweaters offer
versatility and added interest to any wardrobe. They, also, help us
to easily transition into the cooler months ahead by providing a
layer of coziness and comfort that surrounds us in softness and
warmth.
Below
are a few of my favorite sweater styles. If you see something you

sleeve cardigans are one of my favorite to wear during the fall
season. Cardigans are uniquely characterized by some sort of button or zipper closure down the front. I like the short sleeve variety because I can start off the fall months by wearing a long sleeve cotton shirt underneath; and as the winter months forge ahead, I later add a jacket over the top of each piece, which creates a chic layered look that can be adjusted according to my body temperature no matter what environment I find myself to be. I love the argyle pattern because it offers the formality required for any office setting, but can be paired with jeans to create a casual look for those after work hour gatherings as well.

"Jack Frost" is in full force, there is nothing like the
feel of a comfortable, big and bulky, pullover sweater to keep me
warm while out and about, or sometimes just lounging around the house
when it's cold and gray outside. The pullover sweater can come in a
variety fibers. Cotton is the most popular, but my favorite would
probably be 100% cashmere or at least a cashmere blend of some sort.
Cashmere is a type of wool... no, not the scratchy irritating form,
but the more luxuriant, silky kind that feels soft and sensuous to
the touch. For this reason, Cashmere is often more expensive than any
other type of sweater fiber one can purchase. The cashmere blends,
however, offer a less expensive alternative to pure cashmere, which
is easier on the purse and can feel just as luxurious. Sweaters with
a pullover collar or a boat-neck shape to them help to accentuate the
shoulder and neckline, creating a dramatic sexy look that is also
warm and comfortable at the same time.
T he
sweater dress is basically a longer version of the pullover sweater.
A sweater dress can be either be long or short. It has become one of
my favorite fall pieces because it is an entire out-fit unto itself.
It greatly cuts down on the need to find anything else to wear with
it. No searching for a shirt or pants... just slide it on and go.
Sweater dresses are also fabulous because they can be changed by
simply adding different accessories each time it is worn. For
example, a nice oversized belt does a great job at emphasizing the
waistline; chunky jewelry, and a nice pair of boots or heels can be
added to finish off a great, modern, look that showcases a bit of
pizzaz and class all within minutes. A sweater dress, depending on
how short it is, can also be worn with a pair of jeans underneath. In
this case, it is sometimes referred to as a sweater tunic. No matter
how it is worn, long or short, sweater dresses add style, sex appeal,
and versatility to any fall or winter wardrobe.
