If you are in the midst of waiting for your "knight in shinning armor" to come rescue you from a life of loneliness by riding in on a horse, or better yet in a sports series BMW, then I have just the book to recommend to you while you wait. After all, it could be a very long wait.

The book is entitled How to be found by the man you've been looking for by Michelle Mckinney Hammond. It is based on the book of Ruth, one of my favorite stories from the Bible.

In my opinion, the book of Ruth is one of the greatest love stories ever told. It is the blueprint from which all modern day fairytales are derived. Naomi always reminded me of a fairy god-mother type because of the way she lovingly instructed Ruth on when and what to do concerning Boaz. Like so many other single women, I have often asked myself over and over again, "Where in the world is my Boaz?"

How to be found by the man you've been looking for provided me with a whole new take on the story of Ruth. Although I had read the book of Ruth many times, I realized just how much I didn't fully understand the story. Reading Hammond's book provided me with a deeper understanding of all the characters, especially in how I perceived Ruth.

Before reading her book, I had often looked at Ruth as being a passive character who just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Simply put, I thought that she was just lucky to have stumbled upon a man like Boaz. Afterwards, I realized that I had not been looking at her character close enough. Not having a solid understanding of the character of Ruth, could very well be the delay that so many of us women experience while searching for a Boaz of our own.

So, if you are ready to gain a better perspective on finding the man of your dreams... the right way, then pick up a copy of this book. It changed my whole outlook in one afternoon.
